Some say most left-handed are totally into arts and are very creative. Absolutely right! Instead of dribbling the ball to put my 189cm height into good use, I chose to nurture and hone my innate (at least that’s what i think) skills in design. Marketing myself has always been a relentless trait.

Allow me to present you, a 21-year-old undergraduate production 2005 – “The Grand Opening”

p/s: This presentation is best viewed with high speed connection as it is quite a huge file to load. Thus, if you experience slow connection or loading, let it load til the very end and watch the loop playback of it. The next time you enter this post, it will start directly and play without lagging. As this took more than 2 months to compile, I just need less than 10 minutes of your time to appreciate the masterpiece.

I taught myself Adobe Flash (formerly named as Macromedia Flash) when I was 21. Being in the publicity department, I took up challenge to compile and produce a presentation for the grand opening of the 1st Malaysia Conference we’d organized. From a Flash dummy to a so called ‘intermediate’, I sat in front of my personal computer with a dial-up internet connection, 12 hours a day, working on this particular presentation.

It took me two months from brainstorming the contents to designing the template, from selecting the best soundtrack to embedding relevant videos and finally synchronizing the tempo and compiling the overall presentation. Instead of revising my engineering subject, my brain was almost exploded with gimmicks to ensure a perfect presentation that was able to create an oomph to all international and local participants in the conference.

2 hours ago, I was re-organizing my files and folders from my previous hard disk. Coincidentally, I came across this particular masterpiece and was eager to share to my fellow readers (although it is not perfect).. as I am still proud of it.

I guess this is the way I market myself. “Surprise myself to surprise others”. Welcome to my world!
